I've known Raelyn since I first moved to Buffalo for college back in 2009. We immediately clicked with our large group of close friends commiserating over homework, going to concerts or even just making dinner at one another's apartments. Jon soon came into the picture and then never left. He became a fixture in Raelyn's life and we couldn't have been happier for it. The two of them complete each other... no, like they really do! They decided to marry in a place that is dear to them, Long Lake in the Adirondacks. On a beautiful, sunny afternoon I watched these two make the sweetest vows to each other. Full of promises, their hopes but most of all, their abundance of love. Not only is this my job but I truly find happiness in moments like these where I not only get to witness my loved one's biggest days but also curate it for memories to come. Thank you again Jon + Rae for having me!
Give me a good destination wedding and you bet I'm all about it. Now make that destination the Adirondacks and you've really got my attention! From the campfires, to the smell of the woods on a dewy morning, I'm in my element. So when Meghan & Justin asked me to join them on their weekend away, I said yes before they could finish asking the question. We really lucked out for beautiful weather in October so it was better than anyone could have hoped for. With a small ceremony overlooking the lake, all their friends and family got to witness their heartfelt union to one another with the mountains to bear witness. Everyone switched gears into party mode once cocktails begun flowing and that dance floor opened up. Meghan herself DJ'ed the perfect 90's playlist that had everyone breaking out their killer dance moves while others got to sit around a blazing campfire roasting marshmallows & making s'mores. We ended our night with an epic sparkler exit surrounded by the laughter of all their friends and families. In my opinion, it couldn't have been more perfect.
Sara is one of my very best friends. We met in summer camp back in 1999, ultimately ended up going to the same middle school and then graduated together. We've been through it all; fights, tears, tears from laughter and maybe a little more fighting. What can I say, we fight like sisters. Along this ride has been her family which I have adopted as my second family. Sorry guys, you had no choice in it all. Now I have a niece, Quinn who was born on the other side of the country. I finally got to meet her this weekend and she's literally the most quiet baby I have ever met. A baby after my own heart. Unfortunately they will be headed back to California as of tomorrow but that just means I'll have to pack my suitcase for my annual Lake Tahoe trip. Here's some shots of our day at Brantingham Lake and our venture to Fly Creek Cider Mill. BTW, if you haven't been there; what are you waiting for?!
