Last fall, an old friend of mine got in touch with me to tell me some exciting news. He and his girlfriend Courtney were expecting a baby girl! We immediately set up a time to do a maternity session together where I got to meet Courtney. The two of them together made so much sense. Now fast forward a few months ahead and Kaedence is finally here. She's a sweet, loving, blue eyed beauty that I personally could not get enough of. You'll see why as you scroll down. Presenting to the world: Kaedence Hart Crane!
Sara is one of my very best friends. We met in summer camp back in 1999, ultimately ended up going to the same middle school and then graduated together. We've been through it all; fights, tears, tears from laughter and maybe a little more fighting. What can I say, we fight like sisters. Along this ride has been her family which I have adopted as my second family. Sorry guys, you had no choice in it all. Now I have a niece, Quinn who was born on the other side of the country. I finally got to meet her this weekend and she's literally the most quiet baby I have ever met. A baby after my own heart. Unfortunately they will be headed back to California as of tomorrow but that just means I'll have to pack my suitcase for my annual Lake Tahoe trip. Here's some shots of our day at Brantingham Lake and our venture to Fly Creek Cider Mill. BTW, if you haven't been there; what are you waiting for?!
I was a photo making machine this weekend! Three separate shoots all mixed in with visiting family and friends from near and far. This was one of my favorites though. Alex is one of my old time friends from way back in the day. Our group of friends caused a lot of ruckus but mainly just goofed off through our high school years. It's so crazy to see him now; all grown up and expecting a daughter with Courtney. The look on his face whenever we talked about his future little girl was priceless. He's as much of a goof as he was ten years ago and Courtney seems to be just the woman to keep him in line. I'm so happy for you two! The countdown begins!
Working with Ashley's family and friends over the past month has been so great and honestly a ton of fun. First with FarmFest, then Nick & Lisa's wedding and now their own family session. They really liked the candid work I do and wanted to emulate that through this session so we chose to go the route of a lifestyle shoot. Basically we all just go to hang out and play with Little Hank and the cutest golden, Bernie. Also, I can't stand how stinkin' cute Hank is. But I'll let the photos speak for themselves. Here's the Lewis's!
It's crazy how time flies. One minute you're playing dress up and crying because you can't go to the first day of school with your sister, the next you're graduating from college and now here we are; I'm planning my move to California and my sister has bought a house and is starting a family. I'm still in a state of disbelief that we aren't arguing over who stole whose clothing (okay, we might still be fighting about that). I've watched my sister grow and accomplish so many things, and now she's having a child. I'm going to be an aunt, which is slightly terrifying but also really exciting. I couldn't ask for a better family and I couldn't ask for a better sister.
