Sara is one of my very best friends. We met in summer camp back in 1999, ultimately ended up going to the same middle school and then graduated together. We've been through it all; fights, tears, tears from laughter and maybe a little more fighting. What can I say, we fight like sisters. Along this ride has been her family which I have adopted as my second family. Sorry guys, you had no choice in it all. Now I have a niece, Quinn who was born on the other side of the country. I finally got to meet her this weekend and she's literally the most quiet baby I have ever met. A baby after my own heart. Unfortunately they will be headed back to California as of tomorrow but that just means I'll have to pack my suitcase for my annual Lake Tahoe trip. Here's some shots of our day at Brantingham Lake and our venture to Fly Creek Cider Mill. BTW, if you haven't been there; what are you waiting for?!
I have visited Lake Tahoe many times over the past few years and the reason why is simple. My best friend moved there back in 2012 and I've gone out every year since. Two years ago, I went out as normally planned but brought my other best friend out with me to experience the beauty of this place. She became transfixed as most do and moved out there almost immediately. Now this is great for my two friends but terrible for me since now my two best friends live on the other side of the country. Last week I decided to go out and see them. It's always a blast but disheartening when I have to leave knowing I won't see them for quite some time. Here's some photos I took while exploring the vast beauty of this winter wonderland. Oh, and there's dogs too.
Britt contacted me this month because a friend of hers recommended me for a session. (Thanks Heather & Carl!) Now, we might have done this a little backwards. Britt & Seaver had a small ceremony this winter but opted out of having a photographer. They regretted this decision and came to me hoping we could recreate their magical day. Spoiler alert, we did! Britt was such a firecracker and I can tell Seaver keeps her grounded. They work so well together and I'm so happy to share these wonderful images with the rest of you.
