It feels like just yesterday I was photographing my friend's Courtney & Alex's newborn daughter. She was a tiny, wriggling little thing that couldn't keep her tongue in her mouth but was wide eyed at her new surroundings. Now she's made a trip halfway around the sun and the differences are astounding. She's self aware, smiley and just starting to get her balance. She can even hold her own bottle! I can't wait to see how this little family grows & grows.
I was a photo making machine this weekend! Three separate shoots all mixed in with visiting family and friends from near and far. This was one of my favorites though. Alex is one of my old time friends from way back in the day. Our group of friends caused a lot of ruckus but mainly just goofed off through our high school years. It's so crazy to see him now; all grown up and expecting a daughter with Courtney. The look on his face whenever we talked about his future little girl was priceless. He's as much of a goof as he was ten years ago and Courtney seems to be just the woman to keep him in line. I'm so happy for you two! The countdown begins!
I have visited Lake Tahoe many times over the past few years and the reason why is simple. My best friend moved there back in 2012 and I've gone out every year since. Two years ago, I went out as normally planned but brought my other best friend out with me to experience the beauty of this place. She became transfixed as most do and moved out there almost immediately. Now this is great for my two friends but terrible for me since now my two best friends live on the other side of the country. Last week I decided to go out and see them. It's always a blast but disheartening when I have to leave knowing I won't see them for quite some time. Here's some photos I took while exploring the vast beauty of this winter wonderland. Oh, and there's dogs too.
The moment I met Joe & Allison, I could tell they were very kind hearted and desperately head over heels with each other. Being able to witness their shared happiness on this day was uplifting and joyous. I wish you two all the best and many years to come!
Lexi had a wonderful team of family and friends who orchestrated her bridal shower this past Saturday at the Rue Franklin in Buffalo, NY. Roses flown in from Florida, chocolates imported from France, no detail was spared! There was joy and a coming together between two families which I was honored to witness. Here are some photos from her day!
Earlier this month, I took a trip out to San Diego in hopes of escaping negative -20 temps as well as doing some research about a possible move. While I was there, I got to eat, drink and explore. All three things that I love. During my visit, each day was convincing me more and more to take the plunge and call it my new home. My cousins Dylan & Kristi were wonderful hosts and showed me the ins and outs of the city. Here are a few snaps from our escapades.
