Two years ago I had the honor of photographing Kelly’s twin sister’s wedding in the Fingerlakes Region. And now I had the double honor of being there for Kelly’s big day! With the weather on our side, we braved a little bit of wind of the shore of Lake Erie to witness a stunning first look with Jake on Gallagher Pier of the Outer Harbor. The smiles and nervousness washed away as soon as they set eyes on one another. We jumped around from one of Buffalo’s many industrial spots downtown that provided a true sense of what it is like to be from this Rust Belt City. The ceremony, short and sweet took place at 500 Seneca, with the towering ceilings and glass allowing the afternoon sun to shower us in warmth. From the moment their ceremony ended, it was cocktail time! It was so wonderful to see all of their friends and family gather for such a special occasion and really break it down on the dance floor. I can’t thank you enough for letting me witness such a beautiful union!
What a whirlwind of a day we had! Even though it was the first weekend of September, we had one of the hottest days yet this summer. Everyone was in high spirits and honestly, were troopers for the heat we endured. We traveled all over Buffalo from downtown, to the outer harbor, Buffalo murals all the way back to City Hall. With a solid crew behind them, we made beautiful images from location to location. Once back at the Westin, it was fun from there on out. A short but impactful ceremony led to dancing and more dancing for the rest of the night! Elena’s family being from mostly from Macedonia, we reveled in all the traditional dances that really brought the entire room together as one. It was a truly magnificent day and I am so happy to have been a part of it!
Let me first just say that these two are the epitome of adorable. When I first met them this winter, we had a quirky, fun filled session romping through the snow at Tift Nature Preserve. Cuddled close in a blanket, these two couldn't stop smiling at one another. Their wedding day wasn't much different. Surrounded by their loved ones and friends, Corey and Karen joined together as one and then out danced the night away. My favorite part? Their bridal party surprised them with their own rap version of "Prince of Belair" that related to the two. All in all, it was a beautiful day filled with many memories I'm sure they won't soon forget. Let's give a well deserved congrats to the Stuff's!
I met Jeff + Michelle just a little over two years ago when they contacted me to shoot their wedding. We bonded over our shared love of travel and similar trips to the coast of Oregon, gushing over its rocky seashore and lush forests. If I connect with anyone, it's people who revel in searching the unknown parts of the world. Together, they have explored the globe while being madly in love and just like rock solid couples do, they compromised with their wedding day. Michelle wanting that country, nature feel we took photos at Knox Farms in East Aurora and satiated Jeff's urban draw to the city with their reception being downtown. We had the best of both worlds and I am so happy I got to witness these two join together as one on their big day.
We could not have asked for a better winter day today! While we might not have had the sunshine, these two brought the spark. Energetic, fun and love all around is what makes a happy couple and a happy couple makes for beautiful photos. I hardly had to direct Karen nor Cory as they so naturally vibed off one another. I cannot express how excited I am for their wedding this year at the Hotel Lafayette!
These two picked one of the amazing back drops for a wedding two weekends ago; Canalside in downtown Buffalo, NY. Our downtown has been rapidly changing over the past few years and its been mind blowing to watch. A once desolate city scape has bloomed into one of our most loved and visited spots in this city. Kim & Pat may have just had the most Buffalo wedding ever.
Watching all their friends and family join together for a their big day was heart warming. Their guests broke it down on the dance floor til the moment we left. Thank you to Kim & Pat for having me capture this special union!
ps. everyone should follow K + P's path and DEFINITELY have a taco/donut bar at their wedding.
I've known Ana for awhile in that weird way you know people in 2017; the internet. I've seen her family grow and blossom over these few years and was excited when we decided to work together. Harrison, like all three year olds was a ball of contagious energy while his sister Sofia likes to sit back and observe. They seem to have found a balance between the four of them, fitting ever so perfectly together as one unit. Thank you for letting me capture these little glimpses into your beautiful family life Ana & Nick!
