These two had the most beautiful and down to earth wedding I've been to in quite some time. Jill first contacted me over a year ago to set up an engagement session nestled in the woods where Evan first proposed. We had fun crossing over streams over fallen down tree limbs and reminiscing on how her now husband so romantically popped the question. Fast forward to the big day these two have been waiting for, yet again within the company of the forest and nature. An open air building so quaintly decorated with wild flowers and sentiments of their love, the night was filled with good beer, many laughs and just pure fun. I had such an amazing time witnessing Jill and Evan commit to one another although they had made that decision long ago. It was beautiful to see them share this day with their closest friends and family. Long time wishes of happiness and love to the newly married couple!
Let me first just say that these two are the epitome of adorable. When I first met them this winter, we had a quirky, fun filled session romping through the snow at Tift Nature Preserve. Cuddled close in a blanket, these two couldn't stop smiling at one another. Their wedding day wasn't much different. Surrounded by their loved ones and friends, Corey and Karen joined together as one and then out danced the night away. My favorite part? Their bridal party surprised them with their own rap version of "Prince of Belair" that related to the two. All in all, it was a beautiful day filled with many memories I'm sure they won't soon forget. Let's give a well deserved congrats to the Stuff's!
I met Jeff + Michelle just a little over two years ago when they contacted me to shoot their wedding. We bonded over our shared love of travel and similar trips to the coast of Oregon, gushing over its rocky seashore and lush forests. If I connect with anyone, it's people who revel in searching the unknown parts of the world. Together, they have explored the globe while being madly in love and just like rock solid couples do, they compromised with their wedding day. Michelle wanting that country, nature feel we took photos at Knox Farms in East Aurora and satiated Jeff's urban draw to the city with their reception being downtown. We had the best of both worlds and I am so happy I got to witness these two join together as one on their big day.
Give me a good destination wedding and you bet I'm all about it. Now make that destination the Adirondacks and you've really got my attention! From the campfires, to the smell of the woods on a dewy morning, I'm in my element. So when Meghan & Justin asked me to join them on their weekend away, I said yes before they could finish asking the question. We really lucked out for beautiful weather in October so it was better than anyone could have hoped for. With a small ceremony overlooking the lake, all their friends and family got to witness their heartfelt union to one another with the mountains to bear witness. Everyone switched gears into party mode once cocktails begun flowing and that dance floor opened up. Meghan herself DJ'ed the perfect 90's playlist that had everyone breaking out their killer dance moves while others got to sit around a blazing campfire roasting marshmallows & making s'mores. We ended our night with an epic sparkler exit surrounded by the laughter of all their friends and families. In my opinion, it couldn't have been more perfect.
Matthew & Mel's wedding was straight out of a magazine, just the right amount of glitz & glamour all while maintaining a classic feel. With Mel's exquisite design decisions, I was completely wowed by her presentation of this big day. These two had been living across the world in Amsterdam for quite some time until their recent big move back to New York City. They wanted to celebrate their biggest commitment to each other close to friends and family right here in Buffalo. After an intimate ceremony at the Delaware Mansion, they chose the most wonderful live music to have during their reception. The dance floor was alive with some killer dance moves and plenty of laughter. I can't thank you two enough for having me!
I've had the pleasure of meeting Jillian a few times before this session and she's been nothing short of a sweetheart. She told me the details of how her and Evan met, what their lives are like and one of my favorite stories; how he proposed. Surprise, right here at Hunter's Creek! We decided to go back to reenact some of the magic they had created. They had wanted a fall foliage engagement session, but living in WNY, we all know that is terribly hard to gauge and nail down. Luckily for us, we caught the beginning of it. I'm really looking forward to witnessing your special day next year!
These two picked one of the amazing back drops for a wedding two weekends ago; Canalside in downtown Buffalo, NY. Our downtown has been rapidly changing over the past few years and its been mind blowing to watch. A once desolate city scape has bloomed into one of our most loved and visited spots in this city. Kim & Pat may have just had the most Buffalo wedding ever.
Watching all their friends and family join together for a their big day was heart warming. Their guests broke it down on the dance floor til the moment we left. Thank you to Kim & Pat for having me capture this special union!
ps. everyone should follow K + P's path and DEFINITELY have a taco/donut bar at their wedding.
Where do I even start?! Not only was this wedding absolutely awesome in hundreds of different ways but Kira & Garrett happen to be my landlords too! I hadn't realized that these two are truly world travelers. Their entire wedding theme in East Aurora's Spring Garden (little known treasure) German Event Hall circled around their love of travel. Each table was a country they had been to together and the food, OH the food! Food from almost every continent! Thai, German, Chinese, Jamaican all the way back to good ole' La Nova pizza & wings. Let's just say I may have put myself into a food coma. You'd think this was the last of the surprises but no! Remember the Mr. Softee ice cream truck? Yeah, well he was invited to this glorious celebration too. And you better believe I got a twist with rainbow sprinkles. Spring Gardens is this little paradise hidden in the woods and I am so incredibly grateful that Garrett and Kira had me there for their incredible day. Round of applause for these newlyweds!
Theresa & Bradley made my work incredibly easy for me on this beautiful June day. Not only was it the start of my wedding season, but one of the first warm days of our summer. As soon as we stepped into Delaware Park for photos, they couldn't help but act the part of newly weds. I hardly even had to pose them! The love that flowed between the two of them was natural and translated that way through our photos together. They even sat with me with some of the most interesting & funny guests I had the pleasure of sharing dinner with! You know who you are ;)
A big round of congratulations to T & B!
Let's talk about a small world! I went to high school with Richelle back in our tiny town of Frankfort about three hours east of Buffalo. Justin is one of my best friends cousins who was born in Buffalo. Both Richelle & Justin have since relocated to Rochester where they've built a life together. However, since we are all acquainted with each other, Richelle reached out to me about her engagement session. October is her favorite month (mine too, girl!) so we sticked with a theme of fall foliage and a little bit of spookiness at the old psych center. I'm so excited for their October themed wedding next year. Can you guess what month their getting married? *coughOCTOBERcough* So without further a due, here's the happy couple themselves! Thanks again guys!
