Colleen & Jason's Intimate Wedding at Chestnut Ridge
Wow, I don’t even know where to begin! Let’s start with the fact that this wedding was brought to you by the buffalo’s best dream team which I am humbled to be included with. We had coffee/lattes by Remedy House, hors d'oeuvres by ButterBlock, whimsical and decadent florals by Ferncroft, a bountiful brunch catered by The Grange and lastly, the ever talented 4 piece jazz band The Hot Club playing amidst all of this. Tucked away in a rustic cabin in the forest of Chestnut Ridge, we had the fireplaces crackling while a light rain fell just outside. It truly felt like we had been transported to some far away woods in Oregon. To say this day was perfect would be an understatement in my opinion. Colleen & Jason shared a tear inducing first look in a secluded pathway away from the cabin and from there we went right into the ceremony! Also tucked into trees, these two recited their vows to one another with smiles plastered on their faces. We spent the next hour traipsing around the little trail system taking photos while the rain fell lightly onto our heads. The rain didn’t seem to bother anyone at all actually, if anything it added to the ambiance of the day.
With one giant community table, there was a short speech but followed by dish after appetizing dish of The Grange was placed to feast upon. After dinner and some socializing, the couple was finally introduced and what better song to start your party off with other than Burning Down The House by Talking Heads? The afternoon was filled with boozy cocktails expertly made, a killer playlist (kudos to whoever made that!) and some great dance moves. I can’t thank Jason & Colleen enough for having me on such a special and intimate wedding day. It was one of my favorites to date!
