Some of my favorite parts of photographing weddings is when I get passed around friend circles because this means I get to see them often. I’ve actually known Vicki & Teddy for quite some time now!
We were in store for a perfect fall day. Sunny skies, warm breeze, even the clouds diffused the sky for the ceremony for those extra perfectly lit images. Vicki & Teddy decided to read their vows to one another back to back in front of their bridal party without seeing each other first. After some happy tears and muffled chuckles, they took one big step and turned around for their first look. From their on, it was smooth sailing! The ceremony was perfect as I mentioned, which led way into what I knew was going to be a fantastic reception. You may ask while you’re going through these images and you scroll onto the cake cutting, is that a machete? And yes, you would be right. It is absolutely a machete! Apparently this is a family tradition in Teddy’s family to use something quite large and absurd to cut the cake. I’m about it!
Vicki had mentioned wanting to finish off with a sparkler exit which is usually tough to do with a big crowd who has been slamming vodka soda’s for a few hours so we compromised! We grabbed the bridal party for our own intimate sparkler send off which I will say was absolutely perfect, stress free and best of all; easy. I’ll definitely be suggesting these for the future! A huge thanks to Vicki & Teddy for having me on their wedding day, I can’t wait to see you both at the next wedding!
